The COB manages and maintains the various County Boards established by the Commission and the appointments made. Sections 2-11.36, 2-11.37, 2-11.38 2-11.38.1, and 2-43.2 of the Miami-Dade County code define and outline the County Board membership, appointment, and removal process. The Clerk of the Board manages the County Boards and Appointment System (CBAS) and coordinates the membership appointments to boards. The County Commission often seeks applications from citizens interested in serving on county boards. Positions on boards are on a volunteer basis and are non-paying.
