Payments on Criminal Cases

Defendants in criminal cases must pay all resulting court costs and fines in full or make payment arrangements. Failure to pay can result in your case being sent to a collection agency or driver license suspension.

Payments for court costs and other fees on criminal cases can be made online, by phone or mail.

Forfeiture and final judgment payments for surety bonds can only be paid by mail or in person.

Pay in Person
Pay in person with check, money order or cash at our Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building, by scheduling an appointment. Deputy clerks are available to assist you. Payment plans can also be requested.

You may request to be placed on a payment plan by visiting the Clerk’s Criminal Justice Online System. Once you elect to pay and if your case is not in collection agency status, you will have the option to sign up for a payment plan.

The payment plan fee is $25 per case.  If you are not indigent you can enroll and pay on-line. You will be required to make a down payment based on your balance and criminal case type. You will have the option of selecting to receive email or text notifications as reminders of future outstanding payments.  

If you qualify for indigent status, you will need to bring your completed Payment Plan Application to the Clerk’s Office location that corresponds with your case type as listed below. You may schedule an appointment before visiting our offices to avoid delays.

Past due payments will be sent to a collection agency and incur a 30 percent collection fee. Failure to pay your court costs can also result in your driver license being suspended. See Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for additional information.

  • Writing paper other than specifically mentioned, same as for copying, including signing and sealing - $7
  • Oath, administering, attesting and sealing - $3.50
